I had a Dell laptop. Went bad. I cleaned out all programs before giving away.
I had preloaded on MY laptop Adobe Premiere Elements 4 ..it came on the laptop. I have the disk and it was sealed. I opened to load on my DESKTOP and it will not load.
Why......? can someone help me. Maybe this isn't the photo program. BUT shouldn't I be able to use programs I paid for? Seahorse58

Technically the program is not "yours". You only have a licence for it. You do not "own" Adobe Premier Elements 4, you have a licence for it. To say you "own" it means you wrote it.

That being said, what messages do you get?

Neil....I know the program isn't MINE !! I paid for it to be loaded on the laptop. Ihave the disk. I paid to use it. I know that.
After I go to the control panel, click to install CD program, put the CD in drive D , a window comes up and says something like.....can't find the program. Then a blank entry line comes up with BROWSE at the right side. FOR ME TO browse and find the program. THE program isn't on my desktop. I thought maybe someone there could tell me how to install it anyway. I have the serial number and the license number in my name. I assumed it would not load, even though I paid for the USE OF IT.......because it was not loaded ONTO this DESKTOP.
If there is no way I will call DELL...I was hoping someone would know how and what to do. seahorse58

You can close this one out. I found someone to help me resolve the issue. I have installed the "PROGRAM that I have paid for LICENSE TO USE" , which I knew. I am retired, but I worked in an office and helped keep a server up and 20 computers. I KNOW about licenses. I worded it wrong. BUT BESIDE THAT, as a GRANDMOTHER, I needed help and was frustrated. IT IS RESOLVED NOW......CLOSE THIS OUT. THANK you .
