When I hooked up a digital camera to the computer, it recognized the device, but wouldn't load it as a USB device. Upon the advice of a computer tech, I uninstalled all the USB ports in device manager thinking that upon restart, all root hubs would be re-installed. However, the restart only yielded an extremely slow startup along with an error message that the drivers could not be found to load the new hardware. I'm at a loss, but was told that perhaps purchasing a new USB PCI card would solve my problem. Can you give me some advice on how to get the computer to recognize the USB root hubs?
