Ok, my main computer is still a Macintosh.

But I have 3 PC's as well.

I've been running Windows 7 RC1 on an older computer, with a Socket 939 motherboard.

It works great as a multimedia computer.

I also have a "Beast PC," with a Phenom Quad Core CPU, etc. The Best runs Windows Vista Home Premium 64.

The network is served by a new Barebones build running Windows Home Server.

I will most likely run Windows 7 on a new computer that I'll build before October.

I might install Windows 7 on my Beast PC... but I hesitate to do so because it's still under warranty.

The fact is that I love to build PCs. That's one thing I can't do in the Macintosh world!

I've pretty much decided that any new computer builds will run Windows 7.

I have a couple legal copies of Windows XP, but I just can't see installing an old OS on a new computer!

So what's the problem?
Warranty issues are hardware related only. You don't have warranties on software, the only thing you'd get is that it would have been pre-installed working.

Yes, I guess you're right.

But I like the idea that I have a Restore disc that came with the computer.

I guess I'll go ahead and install Windows 7 Home Premium 6-bit 4 when I get it.
