overclock q6600 on a EP35-DS3L

whenever i try to overclock on q6600, i do it all, boot up and in CPU-Z and Coretmep, still saying 2.4 ghz, instead of 2.6.

in bios it says 2.6, my overclock stats in bios, but i get into windows and it says 2.4. what is wrong? thank you.

motherboard - EP35-DS3L
cpu - q6600
