losing connection to internet

my brother has a ps3 and everytime he logs on to play it kicks our hardline desktop off. its very irritating. i checked the playstation website and i just need someone to "dumb" it down for me and put it in term that a marine can understand hahaha our SP is comcast and we use a linksys wireless router if that helps
