chaning desktop background fixing computer once and for all?

last summer, my windows xp was hit with a major virus that tried to sell me fake anti spyware software i supposedbly got rid of it but ever since then my computer hasnt been alright, i have four accounts on my computer and 2 of them are adminstrater accounts, it looks as tho the adminstrator account that i was using the time the virus attacked my computer, was the only account that was affect, i bought RegDefense but to no avail i also run scans weekly sometimes daily using Norton. i cant use the ctrl+alt+del function and i cannot change my desktop background for all i know the computer could have about 3,000 changes made to it that i havent seen a couple months ago my computer got a trojan but i found the source and fixed the problem im in serious need of help my computer slows down whats the cause and how can i fix it? i need help alot anyone with any info please, if u need more information just let me know and ill tell you *i install free2play games like conbat arms and various other games, but i also uninstall them almost as quick as i install them is this part of the reason to any of my problems? im ready to give up and save up for a Macbook laptop or a Mac home computer :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :angry: :wave: :yes: :) :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
