need help with windows xp- screen display

When minimizing a website, appx 2 inches of my screen went totally black. Can't figure out what settings need to be changed to be able to view full screen again. Mouse won't even go into black portion of screen. operating system is windows xp. Please help!

Hi there

This kind of problem is most likely hardware related. Does your system have a Warranty? You will need to take it in to be fixed or replaced by a professional.
