XP Wont Start up

I have a dual boot system, when I select XP its loads up to the screen with the Windows XP logo. It just stays on that screen and does not do anything. I am forced to reboot the system and load up Windows Vista instead. I have no idea why it does that. I have attached a picture of the screen. Thanks.
