Hi, I'm new to forums and have no idea what I'm doing or the patience to actually read the user guides, etc. However, I was referred to forums by my brother because on 7/10/09 I tried to download some songs from Limewire and the next day, my computer started acting funny. By funny, I mean Internet Explorer kept popping up on its own (I use Firefox), I was unable to download any anti-virus programs, my computer went slower than usual and in all, I could tell something had happened. So I tried to do some things on my own (I know, maybe I shouldn't have) but my computer is running better now after a few things I did to it (I downloaded Windows Live OneCare, in the LAN settings on Internet Explorer I put in 0.0.0.0 and 80 in the port section) and I also deleted compstui32.dll. Now that file I thought I read was a virus (Trojan) so I deleted it (hopefully I was right). Overall, I just want to make sure my computer is fixed by providing you all with a logfile I received from HijackThis. Please advise. Thanks!
