Hi there,

First of all,

i refreshed the desktop, cleared viruses but still this happened.

If you found traces of Malware of any kind, it is likely they are not all gone. Please go to the Malware Forum and read the stickies located at the top, especially this one.
The guides will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. Then you can post a OTL log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. Only after a three day wait may you move to The Waiting Room where you will be on the top of the list to be helped. A three day wait is 72 hours.. Make sure it has been over that amount of time, or your Waiting Room topic will be closed.

To fix this problem, many people use this fix:

Click START > My Computer

Click the Tools menu in the top middle of Windows explorer, then click Folder Options.

Click the View tab.

Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Click Apply and then OK.

Open your main hard drive with your Windows OS stored on it(probably C:\)

Open the folder WINNT.

When you find the file ShellIconCache, Copy and Paste it somewhere on the desktop to make a backup copy. Then go back to the original and delete it.

Empty the recycle bin and reboot. It should fix itself once you do this.
ShellIconCache is basically a cached file for all your icons. It sometimes gets corrupt and displays black squares.

As malware is a more important problem, I suggest you clean your PC as soon as possible.

Hope this helps,

-Jason :)
