Dear all

I have been having trouble trying to remove the bloodhound.196 virus.

I did google searches and found a malware removal tutorial.

I did it and then BANG my system goes all weird.

Upon restarting my desktop was all different. No wallpaper and no way of getting one up.

My tabbed progams at teh bottom of the screen all went missing.

When I opened Firefox ALL my tabs and bookmarks went missing.

I am NOT a happy man.

Please, please, please can someone help??????????

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

I looked at your malware topic and you have not included any of the requested logs in the area HERE(This is a link to the tutorial)
You need to run the logs it suggest and then add them to your post in then malware Topic you started at 1:26PM today.
Without the requested log a malware tech won't be able to help.
If you cannot run the required logs then please put that in your post so malware tech can help in other ways.

We can not assist in Malware removal here. Thank you for your cooperation.

Apologies.

I do appreciate the resposne. I guess I am just desperrate to get my PC fixed. Very frustrated.

I am now calmer and will go through the steps again. (didn't realise I had to post logs - didn't even know what they were at first!)

Thanks
