When I finally got my internet connection installed (here in Santiago, Chile) I found I could access internet, receive e-mails but cannot send them.

The error message I get is:
Falló la conexión con el servidor. Cuenta: 'pop3.worldonline.nl', Servidor: 'smtp.worldonline.nl', Protocolo: SMTP, Puerto: 25, Seguridad (SSL): No, Error de socket: 10071, Número de error: 0x800CCC0E

I am sure user-id and password are ok (checked several times). I asked a colleague who pointed me to set "my server requires authentication". No luck.

Looking for Microsoft's knowledge base, the error 10071 does not appear... (10061 does but does not help me). I sent a message to the helpdesk of Terra (the ISP) and they responded quickly but unfortunately, their suggestion (use other server names, pop3.terra.cl and smtp.terra.cl) did not help.

Can you help me? Thanks

P.S. sorry if this question was asked before. I could not find it.
