Hi,

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct place but I am hoping someone may be able to help.

I have a friend who for the last couple of days is having problems when trying to burn dvds using windows dvd maker (actually any software that has to do with video files).

When trying to burn a dvd and message appears saying that Macfee has detected a buffer overflow and has blocked it, source of the buffer overflow is windows/system32/dllhost.exe
This then causes the program to freeze.

He is running windows vista..

Any help you can provide would be appreciated
Thank you

Those may be two unrelated issue, or they may be related.
First of all, there is known McAfee issue with buffer overflow. If one is sure, the computer is perfectly clean, sometimes there is no other choice but add the exceptions for faulting file.
On the other hand, Vista DVD burning program stopped working for me after few months of using it.
Try some alternatives, like DVDFlick: http://www.dvdflick.net/
