system specs:
HP-Pavilion GN556AA-ABA a6200n
Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 (build 6001)
2.60 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
4 gig ram
nvidia evg 8800 gts gpu

Im using a 32 in RCA tv (http://tv.rca.com/RCATV/RL/L32WD12.pdf) as my monitor. Native resolution is 1366x768. I create this resolution using the nvidia control panel, but everytime i restart my pc my resolution changes to random sizes and the 1366x768 is no longer an option

screenshot:

this ss was taken after a restart that caused the change...you can see 1366x768 is no longer

this is getting to be aggrivating to fix after every restart or hibernation.....any ideas? thanks in advance

couldnt find an edit post,

encountered a bigger problem with this now.

I purchased a dvi to hdmi cable , which has made this problem into a nightmare. Now upon almost every restart or sleep mode i have no display at all.Im guessing this is due to the resolution problem i am having...I have to shut down un hook the dvi/hdmi cable, hook up the vga cable, restart set the resolution (custom) 1366x768, un hook the vga and rehook the dvi/hdmi cable....very frustrating. Is there anyone that can give me a solution to this ? thanks in advance
