Installing windows on a blank HD.

Hey guys im having some serious problems here.
I cant get on the windows installer,
It gives me an error "A disk read error occurred"
Its a full black HD (SATA)

I've tried serveral CD's i burned a new XP one with no succes
I changed the bios with no succes and the HD isnt dead.

need more info to advice in brief......anyway u may try this
what system do u have? u may change SCSI or ACHI drive to IDE compatibility.

make sure ur sata cable or power cable is okay. the error message indicate that u have to check ur SATA data cable. Try to change the port of SATA cable.

Its a new pc it are new cable's. they are all fine.

this is laptop or desktop? disk error must be data cable. do u recheck.....worth a try.

Its a desktop.

I've tried the cable serveral times i used it in SATA 2 and SATA 1 both unsuccesfull i the cable iit self looks fine..

see BIOS do there HD detected or not? set first boot form CD and try.
if possible post ur system specification.

Its detected yes.. its not broken its a new thing.
Its a 80GB sata HD
AMD 64 3200.
256 DDR memory.

What doo you mean by the several cd's and burned a new XP?

Where are these OS disk coming from?
