Benq monitor

Last night I disconnected my monitor cable both from my computer and the monitor. I am pretty sure that I turned the monitor off before doing so. I had it disconnected for about an hour. I did leave the power cord connected. When I went to reconnect everything back up, I hit the power button on the monitor and nothing happened. The green light lite up for a second and then went black again. This morning I brought the monitor into work with me adn tried it on a different computer and the results were the same.
The monitor is a BENQ 21'' flat screen.
Any suggestions?
