Hard drive issue

I have a hard drive that a customer wants files off of, and it still spins and everything, it just will not show up in my computer. You can see it in device manager tho, and if I put it into a usb drive enclosure, it recognizes new hardware, and then tells me that a hard drive is connected, but you still cannot get to it from my computer. Anyone see this before?
