I received a security flag from Secunia indicating that WMP9 was unsafe. The fix was to download and install WMP11, which I did.

After XP validation and installation of WMP11, I attempted to try it out. A message came up that WMP11 wished to access the internet. I allowed it to connect and it immediately shut down my computer and rebooted. After attempting this 3 times I gave up and uninstalled the program.

I am now back to running WMP9 but I am at the point that I am looking for an alternative media player without all of the problems associated with Windows.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thank you
