MarketingTools.exe on my sony laptop

On many Sony Vaio laptops, MarketingTools.exe is included and ran at startup, the thing is, I don't understand what it does, and why its included, does anybody have any idea to what its purpose is?

VAIO Marketing tools is a spyware.
Right after Windows installation, the first thing to do is to remove it, otherwise this spyware will often slow down your computer.
To complete uninstallation, it is also recommended -after reboot- to remove from :
- registry : any key containing "Marketing tools".
- main disk (folder c:\Program file (86)\Sony), any folder named or containing "Marketing tools".
