Dell Post Failure

I have a Dell Latitude C540/C640. It will not get past the post on boot up. When it is powered up, the caps lock LED blinks and then it shuts of after 10 seconds.

Does anyone know which post symptom a blinking CAPS LED is on Dell Latitudes.

The CAPS LOCK blinking is an error code, as you probably realise. To tell you exactly what it means though, I need to know the exact pattern (for example, 1 flash, pause, 1 flash, pause, burst of 3 flashes).

Watch the LEDs closely so you can establish the pattern.
