I'm sorry for the vague title, but I am very computer illiterate. Yesterday, I downloaded and installed free anti-virus software from AVG. This morning, I had a "warning" on my computer that I had a trojan horse called SHeur on my computer. My daughter is on Facebook and Meez alot, and I am unsure if the AVG download was just a coincidence or what. Anyway, I can't remove the virus. It shows up in a winchk.exe file and 2 drivers - cssys.dll and iusys.dll. I have looked online and can't really find anything about how to get rid of this. I have run a scan using the Windows Live One Care Safety Scanner, as well as sophos rootkit scanner. Each time the winchk.exe file was scanned, I got the warning about the SHeur trojan, but my regular Anti-virus software (AVG) does not detect it during a system scan. Can someone please help me? Thanks much.
