hi guys,

i am using windows xp sp2. my problem is that i cannot surf the web using my maxthon broeser but i can surf using internet explorer. i am using windows firewall and added a the maxthon program. in addition i disabled the panda antivirus and the firewall but with no luck.moreover i have uninstalled the wireless network card and reinstalled with no luck again. furthermore when i tried installing the google chrom browser it could not be installed since it did not find conncetion to the internet, where i can surf with IE

any ideas??please help

don't bump your thread... people that can help will not even look at your topic because they see several replies to it and think you are already getting helped ...
if you can get on the internet using IE but no other browser it is your firewall blocking the programs from connecting...

Try Frefox browser and see if it works.

thanks for the feedback i will try to install firefox. however please note that i have completely disabled the firewall. i will get back with a feedback.

I turned off the proxy setting in Maxthon and it immediately worked.
