Cursor Intermittant Freezing

I am using Windows ME and I am recently experiencing aproblem where my cursor freezes up for about 5 or 6 seconds after clicking on something. Everytime I click, the cursor locks up for a few seconds and then its OK until I click on something again and then it locks up again. Help

I have scanned my PC for a virus (with McAfee) and cleaned outall my spyware with my Earthlink Spyware eliminator.

Problem still with me . . . . . . . .
