How old is the laptop?
Is it still under warranty?
It sounds like there may be a short or something was spilled on it.
Have you checked to see if anything is stuck in between some keys?
Is it only certain keys or is it random which keys retype?
Best suggestion is to take it to a shop and have them check it out.

So all the other keys work fine except for the - key?
This would indicate a fault with the sensor located under the key.
