Whenever I start my PC, it gives me the error:

This application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). click ok to terminate the application

This error also comes out whenever, the following programs are used: Spybot, CWshredder and Warcraft III among others. In addition, MSN hasn't been working for me. It gives me the error "the service is temporarily unavailable 8007000e"

Any help will be much appreciated.

I doubt so, the article mentioned that it only affects windows 2000. I'm using XP, but thanks anyway.

I don't, it's merely "This application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). click ok to terminate the application"
