I started a topic here and it was suggested it might be a malware problem.

I tried a system restore, updating drivers, running anti spyware etc etc but had no luck. I'm unable to download anything else right now (bandwidth cap) so if anyone could offer any advice it'd be greatly appreciated. I have no clue what might be causing the problem though.

Vista keeps freezing for a few seconds at a time, music in the background freezes along with the desktop etc. If anyone could help me out, I'd be extremely grateful.

It runs absolutely fine in safe mode though.
