Hey guys, thanks for reading this. I have had a problem for probably a month now. I was going to reformat but i decided to see if it is repairable before I do that. The problem is that if I click on my computer or my documents on the desktop, the screen goes blank and finally yeilds a dialogue box that windows explorer stopped responding. After that it says Dr. Watson has encountered an error and needs to be closed. After this happens, my icons come back and things return to normal. If I click my computer/documents again, I lose all the icons again but this time they don't come back. I have a Dell 8300 with Windows Xp service pack 2. I am using Mozilla Firefox as my web browser because everytime I use explorer, it encounters an error.
