Start Up Enabling problems

Hi, about 10 minutes ago I disabled all my Startup programs and restarted my computer. When the computer had restarted I want to enable them again, however when I clicked "Enable All" and then "Apply" my computer would think for a moment but then unenable everything bar "Daemon Tools" and "Hp Digital Imaging". I have no idea why this has happened, this is the first time i've fooled around with the Startup programs. If anyone has any ideas how to fix this or why it has happened any information would be appreciated, Thanks.
