I feel I just got ripped off; again, buying a laptop on ebay, bought a Compaq Presario R3275US. Seller said there was nothing wrong with it, when I paid for it I then received an email saying the volume button doesnt work. (this computer was bought from me for my son/don't want serious issues), I received a second email saying,

"just it cannot be plugged into the charger to do so, it will register a battery error. So, just start it without the charger plugged in. OR you can take the battery out and have the unit plugged in, and it starts. It is the correct battery for the series, just there is another unit multi cell unit that can be used and the mother board is set up for that. Something I could never change, but I liked it because I used it as a security feature. Hope that is helpful, and thanks".

I have a spoke with ebay and they advise me to receive the item check it out and see if I want it. If it's not worth it proceed with the return process, this was an "as is sale". I was wondering what would cause these problems with the laptop, I also discovered that this saller buys parts and builds this brand of computer for sale. Is this a serious problem?
