File association problem after deleting spyware...

I ran an anti-spyware program and delete some spyware. then all of a sudden non of my computers files won't open. Theres an error that pops up saying "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action...." I need urgent help with this. THanks

This has to be one of the biggest non-helpful responses I have ever seen on a forum.

Owns more than one compute, work computer, friend's computer, computer at libray, internet cafe.

What kinds of files won't open? (e.g. Word files, Excel files, text files, zip files, HTML files...) Or all files won't open?
Are programs running when you open them?
