Please Help w Tool Bar of IE 8

Hi everyone! I downloaded an installed IE 8 quite
easily and with no problems.

However, it came with unwanted items on my tool bar!

1) "Free Hotmail"
2) "My NetZero"
3) "NetZero on the Web"

How do I delete these? There's other things I'd much
rather have.

In fact if you can tell me how to add "gmail" to my
toolbar, that would be awesome! Right now I put a
search for gmail and then click to get to my email
several times a day.
