Hello.
I have a Gateway MX6920 laptop. It will not read the dvd drive. For a while it was spotty- glitchy during playback; freezing and such. Then it started popping the drive open by itself. Now, it's just completely dead. It will not open when I push the button. I have to use a bobby pin to manual eject it. When I insert a disc there is no spinning or attempt to read it at all. The hardware looks okay. There are no missing or broken pieces.
My OS is XP Media Center and my laptop is approx 2yrs old.

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Update: I have tried to update my driver and was told that I had the latest version. I also tried to roll back the driver and was told that there wasn't an earlier version to roll back to.
