I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes. I have Windows XP and my mouse stopped working. Just stopped. I was watching a .avi file in WinAMP when it stopped working (don't know if that has anything to do with it). I switched mice - I tried three different ones, none of 'em worked. I am getting very anxious here. I'm doing a virus scan right now, but so far, nothin'. I rebooted, rebooted in safe mode, and used the system restore thing to restore my system to two days ago. Zip. Why is my mouse not working and how do I fix it?!

how can you run an antivirus if mouse doesn't work. Is it plugged in? if usb you may have to intsall if ps/2 thenit should work. can you see the cursor and it doesn't move or is the ursor gone completely
