Ok, so I understand what EXIF data is and can view it on my computer, however I have seen situations in which people have taken edited pictures and gotten their originals by using the EXIF. It is my understanding that you simply have to change the file extension to .igs and open it with a program that can view such files. (I have tested this myself, and got my original photo form it, albeit it was like thumbnail sized).

So my question is.... How can I remove the ability for people to view my original file? I want to post pictures with things cropped out, but am a little paranoid about them being 'uncropped' with this .igs extension. Do I have to edit the EXIF data? If so, what parts?

Thank you in advance. I hope I was descriptive enough.
