Okay, first off, my computer is mostly running just fine. A little slower than I'd like, but nothing major is wrong. I do have some problems though:

1. Windows Media Player is crashing when I open it. It still works when I play videos and songs from their original files, but if I try to open WMP it grinds to a halt. My girlfriend's profile apparently runs WMP okay though...

2. Windows attempts to update at every shut down. I have tried and failed a million times to update to Service Pack 3 but it just won't happen for me. Ever since the last time I tried, Windows tries to install two updates at shut down; it's like it is unable to complete them. At startup I get the little yellow shield telling me updates are ready (Service Pack 3) and I just want it to go away.

I'm not sure if I have a virus but I run AVG and nothing came up. I have Comodo and a couple of anti-spyware programs, and they throw up nothing.

I have OTL logs if they are needed.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!
