I had a photosmart printer that worked fine until one day it started to freeze when printing images and large files; I could still print basic text but larger files would only print about 24% of the entire file and then it would freeze. I hooked up a new photosmart printer and same issue. I have installed, unistalled, and reinstalled software several times with the same result. Is this an OS problem and not a printer issue and if so, what is the fix?

I have connected the printers to other computers and they work fine. I am running XP.

Thanks.

if the printer works on another computer, and multiple printers on the problem computer don't work...then it's probably NOT the printer

how do the printers connect to the PC? USB? have you tried a different USB port?
