We appear to have a problem with very high upload rates on our wireless internet. I am not tech savvy at all, but we have spoken to our service provider and they are no help at all, however they did say that our rate of uploads(84%) versus downlaods (16%) is strange. We keep going way over our monthly limit and are e
being charged huge amounts for this, however we cannot understand how our usage is so high. We have two laptops, both with up to date paid anti-virus (AVG 8.5 and Norton 360), and neither of us are doing anything particularly intensive - just the usual Facebook, Hotmail, job and travel websites etc. I have done a full scan of my computer and can't find any infections. I don't have Limewire, and recently removed U torrent. Any suggestions on what we can do to sort out where this problem is coming from?

Please read the Malware/Spyware cleaning guide here follow the instructions at the top....

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post an OTL log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting OTL logs or ANY other logs requested in the malware/spyware cleaning guide in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post any of these logs in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post logs in the malware forum)

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread..
