I have an HP 2.67 Core 2 Quad q9450 with Vista Home Premium 64 bit.
I have a 1tb hhd, 500gb hdd, & 300gb hdd.
I have tried, with no success, to install Win XP Pro on the 300gb hdd so I can run a dual boot.
I have installed Win XP Pro from another machine to the HDD.
I removed the other hdd's from the machine.
It will not boot to the 300gb HDD.
I get an error " we have shut down Windows to keep from damaging your computer. Shut down and run antivirus you may have corrupted drive" This is not exact quote.
I have tied every way form Sunday to get Win xp to boot and it will not.
I think it may be something to do with SATA drivers, but I can find no solution on the WEB???
Can you help ????
