i couldn't do the step 5 because i get different results, after when i pick option 2.
what i got was, Acer eRecovery Management appeared & mention of "restoring to factory default" (when reinstalling, all data will be overwrite). So, i click Ok and Acer eRecovery Management create petition2 from cd recovery. Finish restoring, laptop reboot. this is where i get in part 8 http://ist.mit.edu/s...a/clean-install. i wasn't able to delete and format the petition. and my D drive was not format (still have my old data)
p/s: i think i cant install vista coz its in my system - unless i upgrade or get a new serial key. so, i can only restore.

You wouldn't want to delete the D drive as most likely this would be the recovery partition.
C is the drive with the OS system on it and therefor should be the partition that is formatted.

The D drive have my old stuff like music, pictures, document & etc. First time when i bought this laptop, the D drive was empty. So, its ok to format it?

If you formatted everything that should take care of it.
Just as a precaution though I would suggest going through the malware forum to have them check everything before you go installing alot of programs.
I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools
If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
