i cannot reinstall windows XP

I ran the diagnostic using Drive Fitness Test. I ran the quick test, advanced test and the Exerciser. Nothing was noted when both quick and advanced tests were done. The result of the Exerciser was disposition = 0x00.

I'm having the same issues but cn get further into the install. I ran the momory test and have a multitude of errors. This then means my RAM is bad??

Although your issue may seem similar there can be other factors that may need to be resolved.
By bumping on someone's topic it makes it confusing for the tech to understand who they are helping. This can in turn cause the wrong support to be given and can cause instability or worse to happen to your system. Thank you for your cooperation.


It does appear you have a memory issue but without further tests it would be impossible to say for sure.

when it booted up there was an eror with was a notice saying with a stop code of 0x008e02c9 and "the memory could not be "written". maybe this can help. thanks!

What kind of CD do you have, you try to reinstall Windows with?

Can you check the CD on another computer (if it boots without causing any errors)?
