Computer flashes/moves uncontrollably

I have had my laptop for less than a year ago, and about two weeks ago I noticed that the screen flashes erratically. I am not sure if "flash" is the correct word to use, but it is extremely noticeable. The only thing I installed the day before it started acting up were Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and a Definition Update for Windows Defender.

Intel Core Duo T6400 @ 2.00 GHz
