On my second computer, (Dell Dimension 5150), using XP Home Edition, system restore won't work.
1) I run System Restore
2) I choose "Restore my computer to an earlier time"
3) On the following window I pick a date 5 days ago "System checkpoint"
4) On the "Confirm restore point selection" I click NEXT
5) System Restore stops and just sits there doing Nothing
6) I have tried other restore points and none will work.

Any suggestions? Anyone? PLEASE!

try this

Download SysRestorePoint to your desktop and unzip it to it's own folder.

• Double click SysRestorePoint.exe so that we can make a new system restore point.
• A box will pop up after it has made a new point, usually after a few seconds. Close that window and exit the program.
