lxbumon not responding

I am new to this lexmark printer and don't have the instruction book. Trying to scan a photo, the printer says it can't find the driver and I get the lxbumon not responding. I guess I need to find the instruction book, it's packed, we are moving. thanks for any help.

Hello agan Ida,

If it is not locating the driver, you will need the software inserted so that it can install the driver...

But the manual will help as well.
