Hi maryisabela...welcome to Geeks To Go... :)
first you can't download a sound card...its a piece of hardware ...
you can download a driver for the onboard sound or a PCI sound card if you have one installed...
can you play any music or play any dvd's and get sound...
no...
then check your device manager for any yellow ! or ? marks ...
to check... Click on Start and then Run...Type in devmgmt.msc and then press Enter
if you see any yellow or red get a screenshot and post it for us...

for how to post screenshot...go here...

Try this and maybe we can tell you for sure.

Download and install Free Everest Home Edition
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
Click the + by computer, click on Sensor. Get a screenshot and post it so I can check your temps and voltages...

DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING UNDER THE LINE THAT SAYS "DEBUG- PCI"

Sound card has no bearing the modem actually.
You are connected to the internet when you are responding here. Can you not use the system you are responding with to download the requested files and then burn them to a cd and copy them to your system?

As long as your friend has a cd burner drive.
Then all you do is install the program from the cd on to your hard drive.
Just as a suggestion you may want to use a cdrw disk so that way you can erase it and use it for any further programs that may be suggested.
