EVERY TIME I TRY TO OPEN PROGRAM THIS POPS UP "SEARCH SETTINGS INSTALLER" THEN ANOTHER POPS UP "SEARCH SETTINGS 1.2.1" IF I HIT CANCEL ON IT THEN MY PROGRAM OPENS PROMPTLY BUT IF NOT THEN IT GIVES ME A MESSAGE THAT SAYS "SEARCH SETTINGS WILL NOW CLOSE ALL INSTANCES OF INTERNET EXPLORER BEFORE CONTINUING CLICK OK TO PROCEED". IF I CLICK OK IT THEN CLOSES ANYOPEN APP I MAY BE RUNNING AND SAYS "THE FEATURE UR TRYING TO USE IS UNAVAIL." THEN ANOTHER MESSAGE THAT SAYS "ERROR 1706 NO VALID SOURCE COULD BE FOUND THE WINDOWS INSTALLER CANT CONTINUE"

WHAT IS THIS???? HOW CAN I GET RID OF IT??? ITS NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE. I AM RUNNING VISTA HOME BASIC.

I'm having the same problem and I want to get rid of it but can't seem to do so. Very aggravating!

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
