Hello !

www.quicknavigate.com has taken over my IE - most of the time, I can't open web pages : every page goes to www.quicknavigate.com page.

I looked in the forums and saw that others had the same peoblems as I do - I read that I should first do some "standard" activities (CleanUp!, ad-aware, CWShredder, Spybot S&D, anti-virus) but they couldn't find anything.

I wanted to run HiJack This but the McAfee Anti-Virus which I am using is preventing me from extracting and running the application.

What can I do in order to run the application so I can get the log and post it ?

Please update your Mcafee and you should be ok to run hijackthis.
This is a false alert McAfee is giving you -- this problem was already fixed one month ago in McAfee, but you need to update it.
