Dell E1405 not powering up

I have a Dell E1405 laptop that will not power on. When power button is pushed, lights will come on breifly then go off. I have tried with battery and without. Replaced motherboard and fan but still get same response, nothing. Any suggestions will be appreciated, Thanks.
