I have a vaio laptop with comodo protection, it did have McAfee which I have totally removed. Every time i start the computer it comes up with the message ''appliction failed to initialize synTPE.exe 0x00106ba'' i understand that this refers to the synaptics Pointing Device Driver, how can i get this to initialize.

have you tried updating the driver for the touch pad? if you go to the sony website they should have it for download....try installing the newest version and see if it helps
