I've been having problems for some weeks now.- the usual system slow, regular crashes, dial up dialogue box drops without prompting.

I've run my system restore discs and some items improved others totally stuffed.

I've now found this site and have tried your suggestions.

My McAfee anti-virus now tells me it has components missing, and also I need to enable Active 8 security settings which I've done but it still tells me the same.

So I tried to download Panda A/Virus this tells me the same.

My Ad-awareSE :tazz:

tells me there's an Error in unknown then tells me Exeption ERead error in ModulAd-Aware Exe bei 00021FOB and some other words in German?

I have other spy-ware software downloaded - could these be rogue and causing my problems ?

I have - PC Mighty Max, NoAdware, Spyware Stormer

The whole thing driving me mad - can anyone help ?
