Hi everyone, first of I'm Steve. Now for a descrip of my pc and problem.

I have a Asus Motherboard M3N78 Pro
AMD Tri-Core 2.2GH Processor
4GB Ram
3.7TB Disck Space
Windows XP all updates are up to date.

I did a windows update last night and it said to reboot the pc, so I did. Once it rebooted all I get is what I have since referred to as the Black Screen of Death haha. All I get is a black screen and a large mouse Icon. Any help would be very appreciated.

Steve

Reboot and go to the Advance Boot Options by tapping F8 at the second post screen.
There click on Last Known Good Configurations
Does it work now?

Everything seems to be working ok, I did not pay attention to what the update was, is there a way for me to find out what it is so I can list it here for you?

Go to Start and then to Control Panel
Add\Remove Programs
At the top of the window click on the little box that says Show Updates
When window is finally full scroll down till you find the newest updates from last night.

Needed update and probably a hiccup with the system. You can go HERE to read up on what the update is for.
Have you rebooted and allowed windows to boot up normally now?
Does it work ok now?
